What is the contract for Fibre plans?

Good news, unlike many operators who ask for 12 months we only require you to stay on our services for a minimum of 3 months.

How can I order a Fibre Plan?

Just visit any Ooredoo shop and have at hand your QID, details of your residence (location – blue address plate, electricity number) and our staff will create an order and provide you an appointment date when our professional installers can visit and install the services

How do I change from my current plan to another?

Just contact us on ‘111’ or pop into any Ooredoo shop and our staff will gladly assist you.

Will I be charged any additional monthly fees?

No, however if you change plans your monthly bill will reflect the selected plan price.

Can I get Fibre in my area?

Our Fibre covers over 96% of households in Qatar and we continue to extend our Fibre to new homes every day. If in the exceptual circumstances your home is not covered we suggest you take one of our Mobile Broadband services with Endless Internet Packs which can be used within your home.

How long does the installation take?

Typically on average we take 2 to 3 hours, depending on the size of the property.

How much do I pay for the installation?

We only charge QR 300 for your service setup fee, which includes pulling the fibre to your home and all the necessary internal wiring within the home, installation of the Ooredoo tv STB and Broadband device(s) and access points together with a demonstration of the services.

How long will I have to wait for my Installation appointment?

In most cases, your appointment date will communicated to you by the next day via SMS to your preferred contact number.

What are the equipment that will be installed in my house?

We install three devices – (1) an ONT which is normally is installed in a common area(entrance), fixed to the wall and remains the property of Ooredoo. This device takes the Fibre and distributes signals to the (2) Broadband WiFi device together with an (3) Ooredoo Set Top Box (STB). The Ooredoo set top box remains the property of Ooredoo, however the Broadband device remains your property and should be taken with you if you move house.

Do you install all the services at the same time?

Yes, our installers not only install the Fibre but install everything you need to start enjoying the internet and watching Ooredoo TV.

Moving House

Visit any Ooredoo Shop and bring the Electricity Number of the premises you will be moving into and the date of your move. Our agents will record the move of all selected services and ensure that an installation visit is scheduled at your convenience.

Will my connection speed get effected when I use Ooredoo TV or the free content?

No, the bandwidth required for delivering 4K experience on your Ooredoo tv does not come out of your FIbre Home Entertainment plan’s speed.

I am currently on a Fiber Home Broadband 30 Mbps, and I do not have Ooredoo TV, am I eligible to receive the free content?

Customers on Fibre Home Broadband 30 Mbps and above plans are eligible for BeIN and STARTPLAY by upgrading to Fibre Home Entertainment plans at the same price. You will need Ooredoo TV which we will provide and install free of charge. Simply pop into one of our Ooredoo shops and ask for OTV.

How can I enjoy my inclusive BeIN Full Package on Fibre Home Entertainment?

To start watching beIN Sports on your Fibre Home Entertainment plans (30 mbps or above), simply follow the five easy steps:

  • Step one: press the home button (🏠) on the remote control
  • Step two: select “My TV” option at the bottom section.
  • Step three: select “Subscription”. Select either one of the “beIN Full Package” options.
  • Step four: select “Subscribe”.  
  • Step 5: You will notice a subscription fee (QR 110). Ignore this notification and confirm, as you will redeem it for free if you are on 30Mpbs Fibre Home Entertainment plan or above.

How can I enjoy STARZPLAY with my Fibre Home Entertainment plan?

Simply follow the five easy steps to enjoy free StarzPlay with any Fibre Home Entertainment plans:

  • Step one: press the home button (🏠) on the remote control
  • Step two: select “Clubs” at the bottom section.
  • Step three: select “Starz Club” option.
  • Step four: select “Subscribe”.
  • Step 5: You will notice a subscription fee (QR 50). Ignore this notification and confirm, as you will redeem it for free if you are on 15Mpbs Fibre Home Entertainment plan or above.

I am having a problem subscribing to the free content, how can I get some help?

Call on ‘111’ and one of our agents will gladly assist you.

I need the best broadband service, because I’m streaming content, using cloud services, and playing online games.

You need Dual Play with doubled upload speeds.

I need a good broadband connection and I’d also like to watch my favorite programmes and films.

You need Triple Play, with Ooredoo tv and fast broadband upload speeds.

Returning back to Qatar

If your return is within 3 months we can supply you the same landline number and reinstall your services at a new premise using your existing Ooredoo supplied Broadband Device.

Orbi

Orbi is losing connections, what shall I do?

Just contact us on ‘111’ or pop into any Ooredoo shop and our staff will gladly assist you.

How can I order this device?

If a broadband Wi-Fi device and a set up box has already been installed at your house, then the installer will only plug in the Orbi routers.

Will I be able to get network in my Majlis?

Absolutely. Simply inform the installer about the areas where you get the least connection (such as the Majlis).
