Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF 2019), one of the largest art festival in Qatar, kicked off at Katara Cultural Village (Katara) on Friday.
Organized in collaboration with MAPS International, the four-day QIAF 2019 brings together more than 200 artists from over 60 Countries and was opened in the presence of a number of Ambassadors, artists and media figures.
Addressing the opening, General Manager of Katara Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti said that Katara’s interest in hosting the second edition of the QIAF is an opportunity to learn about new and creative experiences by artists from 60 countries around the world, who will present their works in free and interactive painting in the courtyards and corridors of Katara.
The festival is to show off their talent and creativity and open up a world of Art Opportunities with Exhibitions and Live Painting, Art talk show & Master Art Classes on 2nd, Artistic Fashion Show on 3rd Nov evening, this unique fashion show will feature the art work by the Artists in many different ways, connecting the lines, from the gallery to the ramp, Interior and Real Art show, Awards & Certificates on 4th Nov evening.
The 2nd edition of QIAF begins with Qatar Cultural Local Tours with events being held throughout in Katara Cultural Village. The festival features a diverse range of compelling and thought-provoking events and exhibitions and it was an opportunity to regain artist’s dreams and aspirations through creativity, self-expression and youth empowerment, bringing a fresh perspective on Qatar’s economic, social and cultural life.
