Visa requirements for Qatari citizens are administrative entry restrictions by the authorities of other states placed on citizens of the Qatar. As of 1 October 2019, Qatari citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 92 countries and territories, ranking the Qatari passport 57th in terms of travel freedom according to the Henley Passport Index.[1] Visa Free Countries For Qatari

Historically, Qatari citizens did not require visas to enter other member states of the GCC. Beginning 5 June 2017, BahrainSaudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have started to implement an entry ban for Qatari citizens. However, Qatari citizens who are spouses of these countries’ residents are not affected, neither are dual citizens.[2] They also had the right to take up jobs in those countries and vice versa.

2017 GCC countries Rift with Qatar

On 5 June 2017, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt had officially cut diplomatic ties with Qatar.[72] Saudi Arabia said it took the decision to cut diplomatic ties due to Qatar’s “embrace of various terrorist and sectarian groups aimed at destabilising the region”, including the Muslim Brotherhoodal-Qaida, ISIL and Iran-supported groups in Saudi Arabia’s eastern province of Qatif. Political researcher Islam Hassan viewed this as a continuation of Qatar’s foreign policy rivalry with Saudi Arabia and UAE.

In June 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain put a ban on Qataris and their businesses. Qataris are not allowed to enter or live in these countries unless they have a spouse living there, or they must carry a visa in order to enter these countries. Direct flights between the countries and Qatar are also prohibited.

The citizens of Qatar can visit 50 countries without a visa ✅. Qatari passport holders also have access to get 32 e-visas or 22 visas on arrival. Qatar has a population of 2.6M people and the capital is Doha 🇶🇦.
