KASNEB is a state corporation under the National Treasury by the Government of Kenya.
It was established on 24 July 1969 with an aim of development of syllabuses, conduct of professional, diploma and technician examinations and certification of candidates in accountancy, finance, credit, governance and management, information technology and related disciplines, promotion of its qualifications nationally and internationally and the accreditation of relevant training institutions in liaison with the ministry in charge of education.

In order to register for the KASNEB Student Portal Login, Students need to first get the KASNEB Student account Number.
You get the KASNEB Student account Number after submitting your filled application form to KASNEB offices and centers.
Students can download the application form from this link HERE. Click on the student resources tab to access the forms to Download. Select the form labeled ‘Registration Form’
After filling the form hand it over to our staff at the following Huduma Centres;
- Nairobi GPO,
- Nairobi Kibera,
- Nairobi Makadara,
- Kisumu,
- Kisii,
- Eldoret,
- Meru,
- Nyeri and
- Mombasa.
However, students may obtain the relevant forms and other information from the KASNEB website and offices, training institutions offering KASNEB courses and Kenya National Library Service branches countrywide.
KASNEB Student Portal Login – KASNEB Student Account Number
After filling and submitting the application form, our staff will review your application and if you are successful, you will be issued with a Student Account Number which you will now use to open a KASNEB Student Portal Login. How to create KASNEB Student Portal Login Account / interactive
- Click on this LINK then choose the student icon or proceed to click the student icon if you use the direct link (http://online.kasneb.or.ke) to the student portal.
- Click on create account and select whether you have Student Registration Number or not and proceed to provide names, preferred email address and a strong password (which will be used for future access to self information) and click save.
- Provide the email address and password used when creating the account and click unlock to login in.
- Select the “Registration Details” tab.
- Access the “Course Choice” tab.
- Select the examination from the dropdown box, click on the “Yes” checkbox and provide the registration number without the prefix (e.g. if your registration number is NAC/68148, provide 68148 as the registration number) and click save.
Populating the KASNEB Student portal Profile
- Click into the “email” field and enter a registered email address
- Click into the “Password” field and enter the password for the email address
- Click on the “UNLOCK” button
- Once the next screen appears, fill the fields “Middle Name”, “Other Name”, “Birthday”, “Gender”, “ID Number”, “Passport Number”, “Country” and “County”
- Click the “SAVE” button
KASNEB Courses Selection
- NEXT, click the “Course Menu”
- On the next screen select the “Course Type” and the period when you would prefer to sit the examinations
Indicate whether you have been registered to KASNEB previously or not
If Yes then fill the field with “Previous Registration Number” - Click the “SAVE” button
Populating and uploading KASNEB Academic History
- NEXT, click the “Course Menu”
- Click “Add Academic History”
- Select “Other Exams Menu”
- Fill in the fields “Institution/School”, “Year”, “Level”, “Grade”, and add an attachment in case there are documents to add.
- Click the “SAVE” button
- If the user has done other KASNEB papers then click “KASNEB Exams Menu”
- Select “Month” and add the “Year”, Select “Course”, “Level”, indicate whether you “passed” or “failed” and add an attachment in case there are documents to add.
- Click the “SAVE” button
Uploading KASNEB Profile Photo & Signature
- NEXT, click the “Photo & Signature Menu”
- Indicate whether you want to upload a “Photo” or “Signature”
- Click the “BROWSE” button and select the image
- Click the “UPLOAD” button
Updating KASNEB Mail & Phone
- NEXT, click the “Mail & Phone Menu”
- Fill the fields “Cellphone”, “Telephone”, “c/o”, “Box Number”, “Code”, City/Town” and select “Country”
- Click the “SAVE” button
KASNEB Examination Booking
- Input the required email and password combination
- NEXT, The tester should click the “Examination Entry” Menu
- A new interface shall be presented with the examination papers available for the student
- Click the check boxes to select the papers that you intend to sit
- Click on the menu “Save Papers”
- NEXT, The tester should click the “MyExams” menu.
- A new interface shall be presented with all the selected examination papers
- Select all the papers and click “Assign Exam Centre” Menu
- A new dialog box shall pop up with options to select the examination centre of choice
- Select the “Country”, “City/Town” and “Centre” values and click SAVE
- The tester shall be automatically assigned a centre
- NEXT, click “MyCentre(s)” Menu
- The tester shall be presented with a list of papers and the centre that he/she selected to sit the papers.
- The tester can choose to re-assign a centre or remove a centre by clicking the menus “Re-Assign” or “Remove
Centre(s)” respectively.
KASNEB Student Examination Timetable Download
- Input the required email and password combination
- NEXT, The tester should click the “Examination Timetable” Menu
- A new interface shall be presented with the examination papers available for the student and the Centre, date
and timing of each respective paper.
KASNEB Examination Results Checking
- Input the required email and password combination
- NEXT, The tester should click the “Examination Results” Menu
- A new interface shall be presented with the examination results for the course administered and the Grade.
KASNEB Student Portal Login – Uploading Payment Invoices
- Click “Invoices” menu
- A new interface is provided with details of pending invoices
- Upon registration the user is required to make payments for registration and processing of the student ID
- Select the Invoice to be paid and click “Attach Payment”
- A new screen will be loaded requiring the following details

- Input the “Bank”, “Branch”, “Date of Deposit”, “Bank slip No.”, “Amount”, “Currency” and an upload of the scanned Deposit slip

It is simple to create Kasneb student portal. Follow these steps:

Entry Requirements for Kasneb Examination
Professional examinations
A person seeking to be registered as a student for any of the professional examinations must show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C+ (C plus) or its equivalent.
- Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at least TWO Principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in Mathematics and English at Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) level or equivalent qualifications.
- kasneb technician, diploma or professional examination certificate.
- A degree from a recognised university.
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination grade C in 6 papers with C in both English and Mathematics.
- Such other certificates or diplomas as may be approved by kasneb.
Diploma examinations
A person seeking to be registered as a student for any of the diploma examinations must show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C- (C Minus) or equivalent qualifications.
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination grade D.
- Any other kasneb technician or diploma examination certificate.
Certificate examination
A person seeking to be registered as a student for Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS) qualification must show evidence of being a holder of the following minimum qualifications:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade D+ (D Plus) or its equivalent.
