A silent war is building up between President Uhuru top statehouse handlers and DP Ruto over 2017nNairobi governor race.

Initially top statehouse operatives were divided on who to support between Hon Dennis Waweru, Mike Sonko and ODM’s Evans Kidero.

It now emerges that Dagoretti South MP Hon Dennis Waweru and TNA Chairman Hon Sakaja Johnson will team up with Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko to vanquish DP Ruto propelled CS Eugene Wamalwa out of Nairobi politics and proceed to unseat governor Evans Kidero in the 2017 general election.

The three leaders met on Friday afternoon at Serena Hotel and pledged to join forces in what is seen as an alliance of that is leaning towards president Uhuru.

Jubilee has been divided in the middle with DP Ruto scheming to have Water CS Eugene Wamalwa to be Nairobi governor as part of the wider game plan of raising Wamalwa’s profile to fit a Ruto running mate in 2022.

What DP Ruto is doing is to raise the profile if Eugene to a coalition principle capable to tame Musalia, Jirongo and Wetangula in Western Kenya.– Jeff Wafula a Nairobi based political analyst told this writer.

Mike Sonko is a drinking buddy of president Uhuru, they are close and that is why Uhuru is gravitating towards Sonko than CS Eugene. Hon Waweru who President Uhuru’s relative via marriage is said have been prevailed upon to suspend his quest for Nairobi governor on account that a Kikuyu/Uhuru is the president and therefore anon kikuyu will easily get backing of other tribes.

Uhuru is also close to governor Kidero via business ties between the Nairobi governor and the Kenyatta family/Muhoho Kenyatta. Muhoho Kenyatta is said to be silently backing Governor Kidero and thus Uhuru’s reluctance to publicly attack Kidero.

Hon Waweru is said to be considering to be Sonko’s runningmate in readiness for 2022 when he shall have 100% backing of the Kenyatta family.

Details of meeting yesterday’s Serena hotel meeting remain scanty, but it is likely that they might form an alliance to counter their rivals eyeing the city seat.

The three legislators with massive following had skipped an earlier meeting called DP Ruto to a round table for all Nairobi MPs in the bid to unite all governor aspirants targeting the Jubilee ticket behind Water CS Eugene Wamalwa.

Other leaders who have declared their bid to oust Evans Kidero are businesswoman Esther Passaris and Cord leader and political ‘lunatic’ Miguna Miguna
